“Hear Ye, members of the populace of Mons Tonitrus. Many thanks from the [Kingdom] Seneschal’s office for your patience as we tested and confirmed all of the available options for your upcoming polling event. Please read the following carefully as you must select ONE method of polling between now and July 9th. You are welcome to participate in whichever way you choose, but only once.

As you are aware, Covid-19 has brought some changes to our Kingdom regarding the holding of events and created opportunities for additional methods of information collection. At this time Baronial Polling for your barony is due to occur on July 1, 2022, Midnight—July 9, 2022, Noon. While in-person polling is preferable, BELOW are the temporary exceptions we will follow to allow for the polling.

There are currently THREE methods available to you, select ONE method only.

1. Online Polling Guidelines:

You may compete the fields of the on-line form, including affirmations. You may select one pair of candidates, either:

  1. Lord Nathaniel Schaffer and Lady Swetiua de Torleton
  2. Her Ladyship Hamasaki Eiwa Miyako and Master Koga Takashiro Kagehiro
  3. Lord Gregory Whitehawk and Mistress Fiona inghean Mheg Uidhir
  4. OR No Confidence
  • You must be a minimum of 18 years of age to poll
  • You must be a registered member of the SCA
  • You must provide your current membership card to poll. A valid membership card is required.
  • You must provide a picture of your proof of residence in your email (pic of your mail will suffice)
  • OR if you do not live in the approved Zip Code for the Barony, you must sign a pledge agreeing to NOT poll in any other Barony for the next three years. This form will be attached to this polling announcement. If you require this pledge and cannot utilize the link, please contact the Kingdom Seneschal immediately so it may be sent to you ASAP.

2. Email Polling Guidelines:

  • Please title the subject of your email “BMMT POLLING”
  • Emails are to be sent to EDSenschal@atenveldt.org
  • Emails for polling will be accepted MIDNIGHT July 1, 2022—NOON July 9, 2022. This is a FIRM DEADLINE.
  • Your vote must state the full name of the couple you are supporting OR you may state NO CONFIDENCE, should you oppose.
  • You may select ONE pair of candidates, either:
  1. Lord Nathaniel Schaffer and Lady Swetiua de Torleton
  2. Her Ladyship Hamasaki Eiwa Miyako and Master Koga Takashiro Kagehiro
  3. Lord Gregory Whitehawk and Mistress Fiona inghean Mheg Uidhir

3. in person Polling Guidelines:

You may complete your ballot through the Baronial Seneschal in person at the populace meeting, between the hours of:

  • 8am—4pm
  • July 9th
  • at the Ethel Berger Center located at 2950 E. Tacoma Street, Sierra Vista, AZ 85635

It is possible that a laptop will be present to allow you to submit your ballot online while presenting your evidence of age, residency, and membership to the Seneschal.

To present the information in person, you MUST bring and be prepared to show the Seneschal a copy of your membership card, government issued ID, and proof of residency (zip code, picture of mail) for your opinion to be registered.
