In the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus there are those gentles who distinguish themselves through great acts of self-sacrifice or dedicated service. These gentles serve the Barony in many ways; by accepting the burdens of an office, performing various duties on behalf of the Baronial Coronet, or by serving as a trusted friend or advisor. In each cast their actions permit us all to enjoy life in these Current Middle Ages.
Centurion of the Sable Chevronels
There shall exist in the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus an award known as the Centurion of the Sable Chevronels, which shall be given by the Baron and/or Baroness of Mons Tonitrus to those persons who have rendered long and great service to Their Excellencies and to the populace of the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus and are already Companions of the Sable Chevronels.
Order of the Sable Harps– blazoned: Per chevron throughout argent and sable, three harps counterchanged
Within the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus, there are those individuals who distinguish both excellence in the gentle arts of these Current Middle Ages and a Willingness to teach others. It was to recognize such individuals that in August Anno Societatis XXIV, at the Founding of the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus, that Uchdred and Constance sis establish the Order of the Sable Harps.
There shall exist in the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus an award known as the Centurion of the Sable Harps, which shall be given by the Baron and/or Baroness of Mons Tonitrus to those persons who have displayed, through long service, excellence in the Medieval Arts and Sciences of the Current Middle Ages and are already Companions of the Sable Harps.
Order of the Silver Thunderbolt – blazoned: Sable, a thunderbolt between flaunces argent all within a bordure counterchanged
Within the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus, there are those individuals who distinguish both excellence on the field of honor and a willingness to teach the arts of combat to others. It was to recognize such individuals that in August Anno Societatis XXIV, at the founding of the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus, that Uchdred and Constance did establish the Order of the Silver Thunderbolt.
Centurion of the Silver Thunderbolt
There shall exist in the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus an award known as the Centurion of the Silver Thunderbolt, which shall be given by the Baron and/or Baroness of Mons Tonitrus to those persons who have displayed, through long service, excellence in the traditional martial arts of the Current Middle Ages and are already Companions of the Silver Thunderbolt.
Order of the Silver Morion – blazoned: Sable, a morion helm within a bordure argent
Within the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus there are those members of the populace who distinguish themselves through their great skill with the bow and arrow, or their prowess with the Katana, or the Rapier foil.
There shall exist in the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus an award known as the Centurion of the Silver Morion, which shall be given by the Baron and/or Baroness of Mons Tonitrus to those persons who have displayed, through long service, excellence in the rapier arts of the Current Middle Ages and are already Companions of the Silver Morion.
Order of the Sable Arrows – blazoned: Argent, a sheaf of arrows between flaunches sable all within a bordure counterchanged.
There shall exist in the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus and award known, subject to approval by the college of arms, as the Sable Arrows, which may be given by the Baron and Baroness of Mons Tonitrus to those individuals who distinguish themselves through excellence in the skills of archery and a willingness to teach those skills to others.
Centurion of the Sable Arrows
There shall exist in the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus an award known as the Centurion of the Sable Arrows, which shall be given by the Baron and/or Baroness of Mons Tonitrus to those persons who have displayed, through long service, excellence in the skills of archery and a willingness to teach those skills to others and are already Companions of the Sable Arrows.
Order of the Guardians of the Saguaro – A sable, argent, vert, and or aiguillette (an ornamental braided cord)
Within the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus, there are those individuals who distinguish themselves with grace, courtesy and honor; and serve as examples for all to emulate. It was to recognize such individuals that in August Anno Societatis XXIV, at the founding of the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus, that Uchdred and Constance did establish the Order of the Guardians of the Saguaro.
Order of the Defenders of Mons Tonitrus – blazoned: Per fess sable and argent, three gyrons issuant from chief argent and three chevronels braced sable
This award recognizes the tears and laughter, sorrows and joys, pains and pleasures, experienced by those who enjoyed the singular honor and privilege in serving as Baron and Baroness of these Lands.
Ordo Stellae Argenteae – blazoned: (Fieldless) On a pile inverted within and issuant from an annulet sable in base a mullet of eight points argent
There shall exist in the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus and award known as the Ordo Stellae Argenteae of Mons Tonitrus, which may be given by the Baron and/or Baroness of Mons Tonitrus to those young people who demonstrate an understanding of life in these current middle ages, who consistently display appropriate courtesies, and who render service unto Their Excellencies and the populace of the Barony to the best of their age, ability, and knowledge.
Fellowship of Mons Amicis– Blazon: “Per pale sable and argent, an annulet of ivy and a bordure counterchanged” <subject to approval by SCA CoH>
There shall exist in the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus an award, known as the Fellowship of Mons Amicis which may be given by the Baron and Baroness to recognizethe importance of those who, either as a group or individual, promote hospitality, friendship, merriment and offers of assistance to the barony.
Honoris Barone
There shall exist in the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus an award, known as the Honoris Barone which may be given by the Baron to recognize those who, through personal service to the Baron, greatly enrich his reign.
There shall exist in the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus an award, known as the Gratia Matronis which may be given by the Baroness to recognize those who, through personal service to the Baroness, greatly enrich her reign.
